**Job Title:** Business Development Specialist
**Role Summary:** Drive EBANX’s global growth by acquiring new enterprise merchants and forming strategic partnerships across key regions. Own end‑to‑end sales cycles, collaborate cross‑functionally, and ensure seamless onboarding and adoption of payment solutions.
**Expectations:**
- Consistently exceed new‑logo acquisition targets in competitive or greenfield markets.
- Build and execute strategic plans to penetrate new verticals, regions, and customer segments.
- Maintain a robust pipeline, forecast revenue, and achieve sales metrics and KPIs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with merchants, expanding market presence and revenue.
- Proactively generate leads, conduct market research, and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with GTM, product, marketing, merchant success, risk, legal, and finance teams to ensure seamless deal execution and onboarding.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements aligned with business goals.
- Track pipeline progression and performance metrics in Salesforce.com and provide regular reporting.
- Offer market insights and feedback to shape business strategy, optimize sales cycle, and refine go‑to‑market approaches.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor movements, and emerging opportunities in the payment ecosystem.
- Represent the organization professionally, fostering strong, long‑term partnerships.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience in business development or strategic sales with global enterprise accounts, especially in the payments industry.
- Deep knowledge of the merchant payment ecosystem (payment processing, e‑commerce platforms), market trends, and customer pain points.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and persuasion abilities; effective communication with senior stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail; ability to leverage data for opportunity identification and strategy.
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM (pipeline management, forecasting, revenue tracking).
- Experience with HubSpot (campaign tracking, lead nurturing) and modern lead‑generation tools (Apollo, Cognism, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator AI plug‑ins).
- Hunter mentality: proactive, outbound, curious, and persistent in building pipeline and closing deals.
- Excellent planning, organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
- Must have a valid passport and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator / Advanced Administrator (preferred).
- Additional certifications in payments or financial services (e.g., PCI, ACH) are a plus.
