About the Company

At the invitation of the President of the Central African Republic, the EUAM RCA Mission was established in December 2019 by the European Council. Deployed in July 2020 to Bangui, the mission's mandate is to provide strategic advice to the Ministry of the Interior, Internal Security Forces, police and gendarmerie in an effort to support security sector reform in the country.  EUAM RCA’s mandate is a continuation of the efforts put forth by the EU military training mission also present in the country and the mission works in conjunction with the international community. It is one of the 13 EU civilian missions around the world and fits into the European Union's comprehensive approach to security and development in Africa.

Job Description
**Job Title:** Security Officer – Contract Agent FG IV (Reserve List) **Role Summary:** Provide comprehensive security analysis, advice, and operational support to EU delegations and the European External Action Service (EEAS) headquarters. The role includes risk assessment, threat monitoring, coordination with regional security officers, and assistance in procurement, logistics, and policy development, in line with CEOS Article 3b requirements. **Expectations:** - Pass the CAST exam or hold an equivalent security qualification. - Demonstrate adherence to EU security protocols and CEOS regulations. - Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and readiness for rapid deployment. - Keep security knowledge current, including threat intelligence and EU policy changes. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Conduct threat and risk assessments for delegations and HQ; produce security briefs and recommendations. 2. Coordinate with Regional Security Officers/Advisers, static guarding, close‑protection teams, and procurement units. 3. Assist in procurement and maintenance of security assets (armored vehicles, PPE, radio‑communications, etc.). 4. Aid crisis response by providing real‑time updates, situational reports, and post‑incident analysis. 5. Support drafting and review of security policies, Service Level Agreements, and hostile‑environment awareness training. 6. Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation in compliance with CEOS audit and legal requirements. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and risk‑management capabilities. - Proficiency in crisis management and emergency response. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional EU language skills are an asset. - Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. - Discretion and adherence to confidentiality protocols. - Familiarity with EU security regulations, procurement, and contract management. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Must have passed the CAST exam (CEOS Article 3b) or hold an equivalent security qualification. - Background in security, policing, military, or related field. - Valid security clearance. - Certification in risk management or security management (e.g., CISSP, GSP) preferred but not mandatory.
