Technical Writer (Product Experience)
**Role Summary**
Design, author, and maintain clear, consistent documentation for a SaaS product suite. Own the product documentation strategy, creating templates, style guides, and a Docs‑as‑Code workflow to enable rapid, high‑quality releases and developer enablement.
**Expectations**
* Own the documentation lifecycle from concept to publication.
* Deliver content that reduces support tickets and accelerates feature adoption.
* Measure impact through usage metrics and feedback, iterating on processes and content quality.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Build and sustain documentation architecture, templates, and style guidelines.
* Write developer‑focused API references, code samples, authentication flows, and integration guides.
* Produce user‑facing help content, FAQs, and release notes that align with product intent and UX.
* Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to surface gaps and keep docs synced with product changes.
* Develop automated tools and workflows (Docs‑as‑Code) to speed content creation, version control, and publication.
* Track documentation usage, support tickets, and customer feedback to prioritize updates.
* Lead the creation and dissemination of release communication (“What’s New”) for internal and external audiences.
**Required Skills**
* Exceptional written communication with a focus on clarity, empathy, and technical accuracy.
* Experience writing API documentation, SDK guides, and developer onboarding materials.
* Familiarity with Docs‑as‑Code tools (Markdown, Git, static site generators) and version control best practices.
* Ability to design documentation structures, templates, and style guides.
* Strong collaboration skills; comfortable working cross‑functionally with product, engineering, and design teams.
* Analytical mindset to leverage metrics and feedback for continuous improvement.
* Project management skills to balance multiple releases and content updates concurrently.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Professional certification in technical writing or documentation (e.g., Society for Technical Communication, Microsoft Certified: Documentation Professional) is a plus.
