Job Description
Job Title: Robotics Embedded Systems Intern Role Summary: Provide hands‑on embedded software development for a fleet of delivery robots. From day one, contribute to the design, integration, and optimization of robotics software stacks, working closely with hardware, vision, and AI teams to ensure robust, scalable robot performance. Expectations: - Deliver functional, well‑documented code and firmware starting immediately. - Grow technical skills in embedded systems, ROS, and robotics hardware integration. - Participate in peer code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and release management. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, and refine embedded software for real‑world robotics applications. - Integrate software with ARM‑based boards, LiDAR, cameras, IMU, GPS/RTK, and other sensors. - Implement and manage Docker containers, CI pipelines, and OTA firmware updates. - Debug firmware and hardware issues; track bugs and resolve integration challenges. - Collaborate with roboticists, hardware engineers, and ML experts to meet system requirements. - Maintain detailed documentation, security best practices, and system performance metrics. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Python and C++ (medium to high). - Experience with ROS/ROS2 ecosystems. - Git version control (high proficiency). - Familiarity with Docker and containerized development. - Knowledge of ARM architecture, embedded firmware, and OTA update mechanisms. - Experience integrating APIs and sensor hardware (2D/3D LiDAR, stereo cameras, IMU, GPS/RTK, cameras). - Debugging, troubleshooting, and bug‑tracking capabilities. - Strong coding and documentation practices, security awareness. Required Education & Certifications: - Current university student or recent graduate pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related field. - No mandatory certifications, but coursework or projects involving embedded systems, robotics, or real‑time software is strongly preferred.
