Job Title: Intern – Project on Prosperity and Development & Sustainable Development and Resilience Initiative (Spring 2026)
Role Summary: Full‑time, 35 hrs/week research and outreach intern for a 4‑6 month term (Jan 2026–May 2026). Supports the Project on Prosperity and Development (PPD) and Sustainable Development and Resilience Initiative (SDRI) by conducting literature reviews, data analysis, and drafting research products on international development, development finance, US foreign policy, trade, climate adaptation, and related topics. Provides social‑media coordination, event support, and occasionally author blog posts for the CSIS Development Dispatches. Works closely with the Program Manager and Research Associate.
Expectations: Legally eligible to work in the United States; must deliver high‑quality written content under minimal supervision. Demonstrates strong research, writing, and editing skills; pays close attention to detail; effectively manages multiple assignments and tight deadlines; communicates clearly with staff and stakeholders; takes accurate notes during meetings; and maintains a professional, self‑starter attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Writing (≈50 %): literature reviews, data compilation and analysis, support for reports and publications, background research, copy‑editing, citation in Chicago 17th edition, drafting outreach and promotional content.
- Administrative & Outreach (≈50 %): manage Twitter and LinkedIn content, promote events, support event planning and logistics, attend meetings and conferences (virtually or in‑person), take meeting notes, assist in publication processes, perform ad‑hoc tasks as needed.

Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or current senior/graduate student) in international studies, economics, international development, political science, or related discipline.
- Prior internship, event management, or digital outreach experience is preferred.
- Optional backgrounds in Russian Studies, Digital Development, or Sustainable Development are a plus.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- No additional certifications required.
