**Job Title:** Head of Platform & Reliability Engineering
**Role Summary:**
Leads the Platform & Reliability organization to ensure high availability, performance, and operational security of client SaaS platforms and internal IT systems. Drives SRE practices, infrastructure automation, FinOps, and compliance while scaling operations globally.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver reliable, HA multi‑datacenter architectures and disaster‑recovery capabilities.
- Implement and monitor SLI/SLO, observability, alerting, and post‑mortem processes.
- Institutionalize Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines across all environments.
- Maintain operational security, vulnerability management, and compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 22301, HDS, etc.
- Optimize infrastructure spend (FinOps) and provide accurate cost forecasts.
- Lead and develop a cross‑functional Platform & Reliability team (Cloud Ops, SRE/DevSecOps, internal support).
- Support pre‑sales and large‑account projects with technical architecture and workshop delivery.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee production, pre‑prod, demo, and test platform operations.
- Define, track, and improve service level indicators/objectives.
- Design, test, and operate HA and multi‑region architectures, including DR drills.
- Deploy IaC (Terraform, Ansible or equivalents) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Implement operational security measures (hardening, patching, secret management) in partnership with CISO.
- Lead compliance initiatives and client audits.
- Manage FinOps activities: cost monitoring, optimization, budgeting.
- Recruit, mentor, and structure the Platform & Reliability team (hierarchical or functional).
- Participate in pre‑sales activities: solution design, RFP responses, technical workshops.
- Ensure adherence to service commitments and oversee procurement/negotiation of hardware and services.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong leadership and incident‑response decision‑making.
- Deep expertise in Linux, networking, virtualization/containerization, and HA architectures.
- Proven SRE/DevOps experience in SaaS or managed‑service environments (≥8 years).
- Advanced IaC and CI/CD implementation skills (Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Proficiency with observability stacks (logs, metrics, tracing, APM).
- Operational security knowledge (hardening, patch management, IAM, logging).
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, ISO 22301, HDS or similar standards.
- Excellent communication; ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in fast‑growth settings.
- Professional‑level English (ability to lead meetings in English).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years (or equivalent engineering degree) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Networks, or related field (Master’s/Engineer's degree preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure Architecture, Certified SRE, DevOps, ISO auditor) are a plus.
- Eligibility for government security clearance (subject to administrative background check).
