Job Description
Job title: Software Development Intern Role Summary: Supports the software development team by handling administrative duties, assisting with the development of applications, and collaborating on special projects. Provides exposure to Microsoft .NET, Windows Server, SQL Server, and Azure environments while learning fundamentals of software design and project management. Expectations: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in software engineering, computer science, or a related field. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are required. Ability to work autonomously and in a fast‑paced team, handle mechanical tools, and possess a valid driver’s license if company vehicle use is expected. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with day‑to‑day operations of the software development department, including policy and procedure support. - Contribute to the design, coding, and testing of applications for ongoing projects. - Coordinate and document special project activities as assigned. - Maintain collaborative relationships with developers, engineers, project managers, and business stakeholders. - Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting to ensure project milestones are met. - Use Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, and Azure tools to gather requirements and troubleshoot issues. Required Skills: - Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications. - Strong analytical, prioritizing, problem‑solving, and presentation capabilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication, including analysis and reasoning. - Basic knowledge of mathematical concepts applicable to software development. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline‑driven environment. - Mechanical aptitude for using hand and power tools, forklifts, and basic welding equipment. - Critical attention to detail, punctuality, and accurate reporting. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in software engineering, computer science, or related discipline. - Valid driver’s license (if required for company vehicle use).
