Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Development Manager – Broker **Role Summary:** Lead and expand broker partner relationships across northern England for a growing asset‑finance lender. Focus on nurturing existing broker portfolios, securing new deal opportunities, and ensuring high‑quality, high‑conversion business introductions. **Expectations:** - Deliver quarterly revenue targets by maximizing broker‑introduced business. - Maintain a first‑class service standard for brokers and introducers. - Regularly visit broker locations and occasionally end‑user customers. - Work remotely with quarterly visits to the Wellingborough head office. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as the primary contact for assigned brokers and introducers. - Identify and secure new business opportunities through broker network. - Negotiate and close complex loan deals with broker partners. - Monitor and improve quality of broker proposals, approval and conversion rates. - Visit brokers, dealers, and end‑user customers to support sales plans and audit requirements. - Provide exceptional support and communication to broker partners. **Required Skills:** - Proven account management experience in financial services, handling intermediary/client relationships. - Ability to interpret company accounts, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements. - Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast‑paced environment. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, confident in large‑audience presentations. - Valid UK driving licence, access to a business‑use insured car. - Relocation or commute to the north of England for broker visits. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of a UK A‑level qualification or equivalent. - Relevant financial services or sales qualification preferred (e.g., diploma in finance, sales, or business development).
