**Job Title:** Business Development Manager (MDR)
**Role Summary:**
Drive new‑business revenue for a fast‑growing cybersecurity firm by prospecting, qualifying, and closing mid‑market accounts. Own the full sales cycle for managed detection and response (MDR), SOC, vulnerability management, and compliance solutions, collaborating with SDRs and a dedicated pre‑sales lead.
**Expectations:**
- Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly sales targets in the mid‑market segment.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline across key verticals.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of business value rather than purely technical features.
- Exhibit high energy, resilience, coachability, and a collaborative mindset.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Prospect and engage new mid‑market accounts through cold outreach, networking, and inbound lead follow‑up.
2. Conduct needs‑based discovery to position MDR, managed SOC, vulnerability management, and compliance services.
3. Develop and present tailored proposals, ROI analyses, and business cases.
4. Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring alignment with company pricing and margin guidelines.
5. Coordinate with SDRs, pre‑sales engineers, and sales leadership to advance opportunities through the sales funnel.
6. Maintain accurate CRM data, forecast pipeline, and report sales activity.
7. Contribute to market intelligence and help refine go‑to‑market strategies for target verticals.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven track record selling IT or cyber security solutions to mid‑market customers.
- Strong consultative selling and value‑based selling capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage full sales cycle independently.

- Coachability and strong teamwork orientation.
- Familiarity with MDR, SOC, vulnerability management, ISO 27001/CEC compliance concepts preferred.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or relevant sales certifications) are advantageous but not mandatory.
