Job Description
**Job Title:** Security Lead **Role Summary:** Lead the security operations for a multi‑tenant shopping centre, managing the control room, on‑site team, and customer service front line. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and security regulations while maintaining a safe environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. Operate under the direction of the Dual Services Manager, providing timely incident reporting, training, staffing, and communication across the centre. **Expectations:** - Operate within Dual Services Manager guidance and contractual obligations. - Uphold stringent health & safety standards, emergency procedures, and access controls. - Deliver excellent customer service as the first point of contact for inquiries. - Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, rosters, and audit records. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Manage day‑to‑day control‑room operations: fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and communication systems. 2. Supervise and coordinate the site‑based security team (guard shift schedules, attendance, and performance). 3. Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. 4. Provide training, coaching, and toolbox talks for staff; maintain SIA licence updates as required. 5. Log and manage all incidents, including serious incidents, officer misconduct, and system faults. 6. Communicate incidents and operational issues to the Dual Services Manager and relevant departments. 7. Oversee visitor management, access/egress control, and dress‑code standards. 8. Spot hazards, report health & safety concerns, and support internal investigations. 9. Serve as the front‑of‑house point of contact for customer service enquiries, complaints, and feedback. 10. Foster positive relationships with tenants, retail staff, and other centre teams. **Required Skills:** - Strong written and verbal communication; proficient report writing. - Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities. - Decisive, assertive decision‑making in fast‑paced environments. - Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. - Solid customer‑service orientation and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Analytical mindset for incident and audit review. **Required Education & Certifications:** - CCTV licence (UK) – essential. - SIA Door Supervisor licence – desirable. - First Aid qualification – required. - Secondary education (high school diploma) or equivalent; relevant industry experience preferred.
