Job Description: **Job Title:** Supply Chain Intern **Role Summary:** Provide hands‑on exposure to sourcing, procurement, and logistics operations within a global diversified company. Execute spend analytics, supplier sourcing and monitoring, import documentation, freight auditing, and performance reporting while using business software (Microsoft Office, Navision, etc.). **Expectations:** - Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Materials Management, or related business discipline. - Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. - Able to work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams. - Strong analytical and negotiation skills, self‑motivated, problem‑solving orientation, positive attitude, and effective communication. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct spend analytics and market intelligence (supply/demand, pricing trends, risk assessment). - Source new suppliers and support supplier onboarding. - Monitor supplier performance; collect and submit monthly performance reports. - Manage non‑conforming materials: notify stakeholders, process returns. - Process import paperwork, customs clearance, and cargo pickup at US ocean ports. - Track shipment status and coordinate communications with stakeholders. - Liaise with 3PL providers (rail, ocean, LTL) to ensure logistics compliance. - Analyze logistics routes, 3PL performance, and cost‑saving opportunities. - Review current lanes for consolidation possibilities. - Oversee freight audit, payment processing, and reporting. - Manage claims processes, reporting, and staff training as needed. **Required Skills:** - Analytical thinking and data interpretation. - Supplier negotiation and relationship management. - Independent initiative and teamwork. - Strong written and verbal communication. - Problem‑solving and decision making. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office; exposure to ERP tools (Navision) preferred. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrollment in undergraduate studies in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Materials Management, or similar business program. - Minimum GPA 3.0. - Physical capability to lift up to 15 lb and sit for prolonged periods.
