Job Description

Job title: Scientific Machine Learning Engineer Role Summary: Lead the end‑to‑end creation of AI/ML solutions that accelerate scientific research and improve healthcare outcomes, focusing on reinforcement learning, natural language processing, and protein design. Expectations: Design, train, validate, and deploy production‑ready AI products; advise leadership on feasibility and ROI; collaborate with scientists and commercial teams; scale applications across multiple life‑science organizations. Key Responsibilities: • Own end‑to‑end product lifecycle of AI/ML tools. • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for AI initiatives. • Partner with biomedical scientists to identify data‑driven opportunities. • Build and maintain robust, scalable ML pipelines and deployed services. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to internal teams. Required Skills: • Deep expertise in at least one of: Reinforcement Learning, NLP/LLMs, or Protein Design/Diffusion Models. • Strong programming skills (Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, data engineering). • Experience with large‑scale, continuous datasets and cloud/edge deployment. • Proven track record of end‑to‑end AI product delivery in regulated or life‑science contexts. • Excellent written and oral communication; ability to present to senior stakeholders. Required Education & Certifications: • Ph.D. in Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field (preferred); Master’s with ≥10 years AI/ML experience or 5 + years in life sciences/healthcare AI acceptable. ---
