**Job title:** Data Analyst – Azure Databricks & Financial Crimes
**Role Summary:**
Leverage Azure Databricks and financial crime domain knowledge to translate business requirements into technical designs, develop data models, and produce advanced analytics. Facilitate end‑to‑end project delivery, including stakeholder workshops, documentation, testing, and change management, while acting as the primary liaison between business, technical, and vendor teams.
**Expactations:**
- 6‑8 years of data analysis experience in banking, with a strong preference for financial crime exposure.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with discretion for handling confidential information.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to elicit business needs, pain points, and objectives.
- Capture functional and non‑functional requirements using BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.
- Design process maps, workflow diagrams, data models, use cases, user journeys, wireframes, and mockups.
- Review and validate test cases to ensure full coverage of requirements.
- Assist with change management and deployment of analytical solutions.
- Serve as the liaison among business units, technical teams, and external vendors.
**Required Skills:**
- Azure (Databricks, Azure Fundamentals), SQL, and big‑data analytics.
- Data analysis, ETL, reporting, and data mapping techniques.
- Advanced analytical tools (e.g., SQL Developer, TOAD).
- Agile methodology experience using Jira/Confluence.
- Familiarity with data encryption, logging/monitoring, and security tools.
- Strong technical documentation and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent certification (preferred).
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer (preferred).
