Job Description
**Job Title:** QA Inspector **Role Summary:** Execute visual, dimensional, and GD&T inspections on machined parts, assemblies, and materials to verify conformance to military, ASTM, ANSI, and ASME standards. Operate and interpret CMM data, maintain calibration records, generate inspection reports, and recommend corrective actions to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. **Expactations:** Adhere to safety and company procedures, maintain a clean work area, meet inspection timelines, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and respond constructively to feedback. **Key Responsibilities:** - Inspect parts, assemblies, and materials for compliance with specifications and regulatory guidelines. - Perform in‑process and final visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges. - Set up, run, and interpret coordinate measuring machine (CMM) data. - Calibrate measurement tools and maintain the calibration database. - Document inspection results in electronic and hard‑copy reports; prepare non‑conformance reports per QMS standards. - Recommend corrective actions based on inspection findings. - Ensure a tidy work area and adherence to safety protocols. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in visual and dimensional inspection techniques. - Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). - Ability to operate and interpret CMM results. - Skilled with measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, tape measures, pin gauges, PI tape). - Accurate reading of dimensional tolerances. - Good written and verbal communication. - Ability to prioritize workflow and follow SOPs. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High school diploma or GED. - Minimum 3 years of metal material inspection experience (or equivalent education/experience). - No specific industry certifications required, but familiarity with military standards, ASTM, ANSI, and ASME codes is essential.
