Job Description
**Job title:** Senior Applications Scientist **Role Summary:** Serve as the scientific liaison between Research & Development and industrial sales, translating complex analytical data into customer‑focused solutions and supporting new product development through field testing and laboratory analysis. **Expactations:** - Travel up to 25 % of the time for customer visits and field trials. - Deliver clear, data‑driven reports and presentations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Manage multiple priorities independently, balancing rigorous scientific methodology with commercial requirements. - Contribute to regulatory submission efforts and third‑party certification as needed. **Key Responsibilities:** - Partner with sales to provide scientific insight during site visits, demonstrations, and customer meetings. - Conduct odor panel testing and gas sampling in field environments, ensuring accurate and actionable results. - Operate and maintain advanced analytical instruments (GC‑MS, LC‑MS, desorption tubes), troubleshooting and developing methods. - Design and optimize test methods to support new product development and address customer‑specific challenges. - Produce professional reports, presentations, application notes, and training materials for customers. - Evaluate pre‑formulations, conduct stability and performance testing, and assess packaging compatibility. - Collaborate with R&D and operations on pilot‑scale trials, translating laboratory findings into commercial products. - Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, proposing innovations. - Support regulatory submissions and third‑party certifications. **Required Skills:** - PhD in Chemistry. - Proven experience running and method‑developing GC‑MS and/or LC‑MS (Thermo‑Fisher preferred). - One first‑author paper published in a reputable scientific journal. - Strong written and verbal communication, capable of presenting to diverse audiences. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). - Demonstrated collaboration and relationship‑building ability. - Familiarity with ISO, GLP, and SOP regulatory standards (preferred). - Willingness to travel up to 25 %. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Doctorate (PhD) in Chemistry. - First‑author publication in a peer‑reviewed scientific journal.
