Job Description
Job title: Data Engineer Role Summary: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms to deliver reliable, high‑quality data for analytics, modeling, and reporting across the organization. Expectations: Deliver efficient ETL/ELT workflows, keep data architecture performant and well‑documented, collaborate across teams, and adhere to Agile development practices. Meet code quality standards and maintain operational stability. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, dbt, and Airflow. - Design, implement, and optimize data models in Snowflake and PostgreSQL. - Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Apply software development best practices: version control, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modular coding. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives within an Agile/Scrum framework. - Document data flows, system architecture, and operational procedures clearly and concisely. Required Skills: - 2–4 years of modern data engineering experience. - Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, dbt, and Airflow. - Hands‑on experience with Snowflake and PostgreSQL. - Understanding of software engineering principles (modular code, testing, version control). - Exposure to Agile/ Scrum methodologies. - Experience with Palantir Foundry is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent work experience accepted). - Relevant certifications (e.g., SnowPro, dbt Certified Data Analyst, or similar) are a plus but not mandatory.
