**Job Title:** Low Latency Java Developer – FX Options **Role Summary:** Develop, optimise, and maintain ultra‑low latency Java‑based trading systems for FX options. Deliver FIX protocol connectivity, collaborate with quants, traders, and risk teams, and ensure end‑to‑end platform performance through debugging, tuning, and performance optimisation. **Expactations:** - 12‑month contract within IR35. - Hybrid work model (3 days on‑site, 2 days remote). - 5–10 years of Java development experience in front‑office or trading environments. - Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑pressure trading operations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop low‑latency Java trading components. - Implement and maintain FIX protocol integration for FX options execution. - Translate business requirements into high‑performance technical solutions. - Own performance monitoring, debugging, and optimisation of the trading platform. - Uphold best coding practices and provide technical leadership to peers. - Collaborate on architecture, design, and deployment with cross‑functional teams. **Required Skills:** - Strong Java Core, multi‑threading, and concurrent programming expertise. - Experience designing low‑latency systems and optimisation techniques. - Hands‑on FIX protocol integration. - Deep understanding of FX options trading workflows. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication. - Resilience and proactivity in a dynamic trading environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience acceptable). - No mandatory certifications; advanced knowledge of Java and FIX is essential.
