Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer, C++ Middleware and Runtime Infrastructure Role Summary: Design, develop, and optimize low‑latency middleware and runtime infrastructure for on‑vehicle robotics software. Enhance system reliability, observability, and performance while enabling engineers to analyze behavior and address bottlenecks. Expectations: - Deliver robust, high‑performance components that support real‑time autonomous driving workloads. - Continuously improve code quality, system monitoring, and performance within a quality‑managed process. - Collaborate cross‑functionally to integrate new features into existing frameworks and libraries. Key Responsibilities: - Design and optimize low‑latency IPC and data‑flow monitoring. - Implement high‑performance event logging, structured telemetry, and safety‑enhanced memory allocators. - Build lock‑free data structures and real‑time algorithms. - Develop network communication and coherency protocols. - Create on‑the‑fly component health monitoring and rapid response mechanisms. - Manage vehicle configurations, validate system state, and fine‑tune OS interactions. - Ensure compliance with quality management standards and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills: - Proficient in C++14 or later with strong coding practices. - Deep knowledge of Linux development tools (build systems, compilers, debuggers, performance analyzers). - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Proactive problem‑solving mindset; ability to propose and implement solutions. Preferred Skills: - Experience with multithreaded C++ profiling and debugging. - Familiarity with robotics libraries (e.g., ROS). - Knowledge of real‑time OS, database internals, network programming, GPGPU, or robotics domain.
