Job Description
**Job Title** Group Engineering Director **Role Summary** Lead and unify a global engineering organization (250+ professionals across electrical, systems, electronic, software, and optical disciplines) to foster collaboration, accelerate product development, and deliver market‑leading technologies. **Expectations** - Deliver cross‑regional synergies and reduce silos. - Embed best‑practice processes and a culture of continuous improvement. - Achieve faster time‑to‑market while maintaining product quality and innovation. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Establish and maintain standard engineering processes, tools, and communication frameworks across UK, Europe, and US teams. 2. Define and execute the technical vision for product development, aligning with business strategy and market opportunities. 3. Coach and empower regional engineering managers to meet delivery and quality targets. 4. Coordinate joint R&D initiatives and technology roadmaps across merged business units. 5. Set, track, and report on KPIs for productivity, quality, and value creation. 6. Lead change management during M&A integration and cultural alignment efforts. **Required Skills** - Minimum 10 years of senior engineering leadership in high‑tech environments. - Proven ability to unify geographically dispersed teams and drive cross‑functional collaboration. - Deep technical knowledge of electrical, systems, electronic, software, and optical engineering. - Experience implementing Agile, DevOps, and Lean manufacturing across multiple locations. - Strong transformational leadership, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical decision‑making capabilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - Preferred certifications: PMP, Six Sigma (Green/Black), or equivalent project/process excellence credentials.
