DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**
Collaborate with enterprise tool teams to design, build, and maintain cloud‑native platform services. Develop and automate CI/CD pipelines, container image management, and self‑service tooling on AWS, ensuring secure certificate handling and optimal deployment configurations.
**Expectations**
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in networking, automated testing, and CI/CD pipeline engineering.
- Deep knowledge of certificate chains (root and intermediate) and keystore management.
- Proven ability to automate build, test, and deployment of Docker/Kubernetes containers on AWS (ECS, EKS, EC2).
- Strong scripting in Python and Java; proficiency with Bash or Groovy accepted.
- Experience with GitHub API for report generation, pull‑request automation, and workflow orchestration.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes/ECS/EC2 environments for containerized applications.
- Automate container image build, testing, and deployment pipelines using industry best practices.
- Build monitoring and reporting dashboards for container configurations, deployments, and usage in AWS.
- Enable self‑service capabilities for developers, including automated configuration generation and credential provisioning.
- Apply secure certificate management strategies (Sectigo or equivalent) to establish encrypted communications between services.
- Drive process improvements, participate in technical decision-making, and mentor teams on DevOps and containerization best practices.
**Required Skills**
- Cloud platforms: AWS (ECS, EKS, EC2, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline.
- Scripting/Programming: Python, Java, Bash, Groovy.
- Version control: Git, GitHub API usage for automation.
- Certificate management: SSL/TLS, PKI, keystore handling, Sectigo experience an asset.
- Networking fundamentals: TLS termination, load balancing, VPC/Subnet configuration.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or similar AWS Cloud Practitioner credentials strongly preferred.
- Kubernetes/Helm certifications (CKA/CKAD) a plus.
