Technical DevOps Business Analyst
**Role Summary**
Acts as a liaison between DevOps teams and business stakeholders on a banking portfolio, driving analysis, planning, data extraction, application build, testing, migration, and post‑live support. Provides technical business analysis, process improvement, and ensures delivery aligns with IT controls and best practices.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality analysis and documentation with minimal supervision.
- Quickly identify root causes of incidents and propose effective solutions.
- Communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
- Demonstrate ownership, adaptability, and a “can‑do” attitude in a fast‑moving environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Create and maintain process maps, workflow diagrams, and user stories for DevOps pipelines.
- Support CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Ansible) configuration, build, and release activities.
- Conduct data extraction, analysis, and reporting using Excel and database query tools.
- Coordinate testing, migration, and post‑implementation support across multiple projects.
- Identify automation opportunities and drive process improvements within the DevOps context.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and operations to ensure alignment with IT controls and regulatory standards.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years experience delivering software solutions in banking, finance, or fintech.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps tools: Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Nexus/Sonatype, Jenkins/Ansible, monitoring & logging platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfortable querying databases.
- Excellent problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication; stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with IT controls, compliance frameworks, and large matrix‑organization dynamics.
- Additional language proficiency is a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMI‑BA, ITIL, or DevOps Foundation/Engineer are desirable but not mandatory.
