Job Description
Job title: Production Planner Role Summary: Owns the accurate Master Production Scheduling and Material Requirements Planning to ensure timely flow of materials and information, aligning demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production releases to meet customer needs. Expectations: - Prioritize safety and quality in all plans. - Communicate transparently about schedules, constraints, and risks. - Persistently resolve challenges and adapt to changing demands. - Collaborate across Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and sales. Key Responsibilities: - Generate and maintain accurate Demand Forecasts, Master Production Schedules, and MRP schedules. - Review incoming orders, schedule or requisition correct assemblies, and release jobs to the shop floor daily. - Coordinate engineering change notices and ensure customer delivery dates. - Maintain inventory at optimal levels across finished goods, sub‑assemblies, WIP, and components, minimizing obsolescence. - Monitor and analyze daily load, system status, and capacity reports; adjust schedules to balance workflow. - Communicate planned shipment dates to sales and relevant stakeholders throughout the organization. Required Skills: - Manufacturing production experience (minimum 3 years preferred). - Inventory management and MRP software proficiency. - Strong analytical, financial, and problem‑solving capabilities. - Excellent organizational, negotiation, networking, and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and in teams, multitask, and meet tight deadlines. - Detail‑oriented, accurate, and quality‑focused. - Reliable attendance, respectful, and accountable.
