About the Company

Armonie: a range of human, software and hardware solutions to get the best out of your IBM i – AS/400. Armonie has set up its Service Center on the IBM Campus in Montpellier "Pompignane" (France), which houses IBMi training, development and operations teams. Our teams of specialists are entirely dedicated to the IBMi platform, and over 60% of them are young professionals assisted by experienced IT specialists. More than 50 individuals are currently involved in maintaining and developing the platform and this number will shortly double. Eventually, the teams should quickly be made up of at least 100 people. The team has access to the most powerful tools for analyzing and managing IBM i developments, such as mapping and versioning management via the X-Analysis and Rocket RDO tools. Project management is based on AGILE processes and principles, with weekly sprints.

**Job title** IBM i (AS400) Developer Analyst **Role Summary** Maintain, analyze, and develop key enterprise applications on IBM i systems. Perform bug fixes, implement enhancements, and build new modules while tracking project progress and communicating with business stakeholders. **Expactations** • Self‑motivated, quick learner with strong work ethic. • Enrolled in a recognized public employment program (e.g., France Travail). • Willingness to relocate as required and adapt to changing project needs. **Key Responsibilities** - Analyze, troubleshoot, and correct defects in IBM i applications. - Design, code, and deploy new features and applications on the IBM i platform. - Participate in the full software development life cycle: requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment. - Monitor and report on project status, ensuring timely delivery of milestones. - Liaise with business users to capture functional requirements and provide technical solutions. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, system design, and user procedures. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in IBM i development languages (e.g., RPG, COBOL, CL). - Strong coding and debugging capabilities. - Detail‑oriented, disciplined approach to quality and documentation. - Effective written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across teams. - Basic understanding of database concepts (DB2 for i, file handling). **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum 2‑year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Bac+2 equivalence). - Completion of a 12‑week IBM i (AS400) training course (funded by France Travail). - Enrollment in a public employment office program (e.g., Pôle Emploi / France Travail).
