Job title: Machine Learning Lead
Role Summary: Lead technical architect for integrating AI tooling and machine learning into data‑heavy applications. Provide hands‑on guidance to engineering teams on model development, deployment, and optimization, while shaping AI/ML strategy and ensuring responsible, scalable solutions.
Expectations: • Deliver measurable productivity and insight gains through AI/ML prototypes and production features. • Drive cross‑functional collaboration to align AI initiatives with product and operational goals. • Maintain high standards for model reliability, safety, and ethical use. • Demonstrate proficiency in cloud‑native, CI/CD‑driven development environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise teams on AI tooling (LLMs, copilots) and traditional ML practices for accelerated development, testing, and research.
- Integrate AI/ML features into new and existing applications, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Build proofs‑of‑concept to showcase AI/ML impact on productivity, insight, and decision‑making.
- Collaborate with product, data, and engineering leads to define AI/ML strategy, roadmaps, and best practices.
- Translate complex AI/ML concepts into actionable engineering guidance and workflows.
- Oversee model evaluation, performance tuning, and automated pipeline maintenance.
- Review architecture and recommend AI/ML‑enabled patterns.
- Lead technical decision‑making on model usage, deployment, and performance.
- Champion responsible and ethical AI adoption within engineering teams.
- Support rollout and evaluation of LLM platforms (e.g., Claude) and emerging AI tools.
- Contribute to core software and application development as needed.
Required Skills:
- Python, JavaScript, React/Next.js, Node.js/NestJS.
- Machine learning fundamentals, model evaluation, algorithmic thinking.
- LLM integration, AI tooling (copilots, APIs).
- Data analysis & modeling concepts, SQL.
- Cloud architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, testing automation.
- System design, version control, API development, cloud‑native development.
- Strong communication, mentorship, and stakeholder collaboration.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer, or equivalent) are preferred but not mandatory.
