Job Description

Job Title: Junior Software Developer Role Summary: Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for business and technical problems using Agile methodology. Collaborate with developers, QA, analysts, and managers to deliver high‑quality code and support production environments. Expactations: Deliver functional, well‑documented code that meets design specifications and user requirements; participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives; maintain code quality through testing and version control; continuously learn new technologies and apply best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement simple, elegant code solutions. - Write unit, integration, and functional tests. - Deploy and support applications in production. - Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, estimation, daily stand‑ups). - Create and maintain technical documentation (UIs, business requirements, interface controls). - Develop ETL transformations and data mappings for enterprise databases. - Use source control systems to manage code changes. - Troubleshoot and resolve defects promptly. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with QA, business analysts, and project managers. Required Skills: - Strong software development fundamentals (design, coding, testing, deployment). - Proficiency with relational databases and SQL. - Experience with Agile SDLC and user story creation. - Version control (Git, SVN) and CI/CD practices. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Rapid assimilation of new technologies. - Detail‑oriented, prioritization, multitasking, and deadline management. - Analytical and problem‑solving capability. - Ability to document processes and maintain organizational rigor. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent, **or** 2–4 years of relevant experience. - U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance. - (Preferred) Active VA or DOD clearance; Active PIV card.
