**Job Title**
Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Cybersecurity Services
**Role Summary**
Lead end‑to‑end delivery, operations, and compliance for a Microsoft‑centric cybersecurity organization. Own the transformation of strategy into profitable, audit‑ready outcomes, scale repeatable service models for the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), and ensure seamless customer, partner, and regulatory alignment.
**Expectations**
- Deliver predictable, profitable revenue streams with strong gross‑margin improvement.
- Embed CMMC/NIST controls into every engagement and achieve audit readiness.
- Drive continuous process improvement, automation, and cost‑to‑serve reductions.
- Maintain top‑quartile customer satisfaction, retention, and incident resolution.
- Partner with CRO on revenue quality, delivery handoffs, and market insights.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Service Delivery & Operations** – Own Managed Services, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Service Operations; standardize playbooks, SLAs, and quality gates.
- **CMMC & Compliance Operations** – Build evidence capture workflows, continuous monitoring, and audit‐ready artifacts for CUI protection.
- **Financial Discipline & Scale** – Lead P&L, utilization, capacity planning, forecasting, backlog burn‑down, and automation of cost‑to‑serve.
- **Customer Outcomes & Escalations** – Executive sponsor for strategic accounts; lead major incidents and maintain CSAT & retention metrics.
- **Partner Delivery Governance** – Oversee complementary vendor services, joint SLAs, and security posture compliance.
- **CRO Alignment & Handoffs** – Co‑owner Revenue Quality; define and enforce sales–delivery handoffs; provide delivery insights to marketing and product teams.
**Required Skills**
- 10+ years in technology delivery leadership (VP/Head/COO) within an MSP/Systems Integrator.
- Deep Microsoft platform expertise (Azure, Microsoft 365, security) and experience with Microsoft GCC/GCC High or regulated environments.
- Proven CMMC/NIST operationalization, controls implementation, evidence capture, and audit readiness.
- MSP billing proficiency (PSA, Microsoft NCE) and automation platforms (RMM, API integrators such as n8n, Rewst).
- Strong ITIL/service‑management foundation; demonstrated P&L, capacity, utilization, and margin management.
- Leadership acumen: building high‑performance teams, resolving escalations, scaling processes, and partner governance.
- Analytical mindset: telemetry, ops analytics, evidence automation, and runbook development.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- College degree preferred (business, engineering, IT).
- Certifications advantageous: ITIL, Microsoft Azure/Azure Security Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified, CMMC Lead Implementer, PMP.
