Job title Software Engineer Role Summary Build and iterate on a unified, AI‑powered platform for accounting firms. Work in a fast‑paced, high‑ownership environment, designing and delivering end‑to‑end features across the full stack, and migrating legacy Go services to TypeScript. Expectations - Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready code on rapid iteration cycles. - Own feature ownership from concept to deployment, collaborating tightly with product and design teams. - Set and raise technical standards, improve processes, and mentor teammates. - Communicate clearly, transparently, and proactively with cross‑functional stakeholders. - Leverage AI/LLM tools to accelerate development and add value to the product. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain scalable TypeScript/Node and React/Next.js services. - Build PostgreSQL data models, interfaces, and migrations using ORMs such as Drizzle. - Develop and consume APIs through tRPC (or GraphQL) with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability. - Participate in architectural discussions, drive best‑practice adoption, and shape system scalability. - Migrate existing Go‑based infrastructure to a unified TypeScript stack, ensuring backward compatibility. - Create CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments on Vercel or AWS. - Automate compliance workflows, integrate LLMs, and explore AI‑enhanced automation. - Engage with accountants, partners, and support staff to gather requirements, validate solutions, and refine user experience. Required Skills - 3–6 years full‑stack development experience (or equivalent high output). - Mastery of TypeScript; strong proficiency in React/Next.js for front‑end and Node.js for back‑end. - Experience with PostgreSQL and ORMs (e.g., Drizzle). - Deep understanding of API design, tRPC, or GraphQL. - Hands‑on experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (Vercel, AWS). - Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast‑moving, ownership‑driven teams. - Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and product‑orientation skills.
