Job Description
Job title: Senior Risk Assurance Projects Manager Role Summary: Lead the development and implementation of enterprise risk oversight models and risk systems on a fixed‑term contract. Engage senior stakeholders to provide risk-based challenge and support first‑line risk management within the organization’s risk appetite framework. Expectations: • 1 year fixed‑term contract. • Demonstrated experience in a second‑line risk function and enterprise risk oversight. • Proven track record of developing risk frameworks, templates, and methodologies. • Background in internal audit or assurance within a financial services setting. • Strong stakeholder engagement, cross‑functional collaboration, and influence skills. • Managed and delivered risk‑related projects in financial services. • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA, TPR). Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and roll‑out enterprise risk oversight model and accompanying documentation. 2. Lead risk system implementation and integration with operational processes. 3. Provide risk‑based challenge and guidance to first‑line risk owners. 4. Coordinate with second‑line functions on directorate‑level objectives. 5. Manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets and stakeholder expectations. 6. Communicate risk insights and recommendations to senior leadership. 7. Ensure continuous improvement of risk frameworks and controls. Required Skills: - Second‑line risk management experience. - Enterprise risk oversight and framework development. - Internal audit or assurance expertise in finance. - Stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration. - Project management (definition, planning, execution, monitoring). - Familiarity with FCA, TPR and other financial regulatory frameworks. - Influencing and persuasion skills. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Accounting or related field. - Relevant professional qualification preferred: FRM, CTP, PRM, CIPFA, or equivalent.
