Job Description
**Job Title** Sales & Business Development Manager (Commercial Sales Manager) **Role Summary** Lead commercial strategy for a specialty chocolate business, cultivating and expanding relationships with professional customers (bakery, pastry, deli, large accounts). Own end‑to‑end sales cycle, develop prospecting plans, analyze performance, and collaborate with production, marketing, and administrative teams to align supply, pricing, and product development with market demands. **Expectations** - Deliver on quantitative sales targets and market penetration goals. - Build and sustain high‑value client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty. - Provide data‑driven insights and actionable plans to the commercial leadership. - Represent the brand at trade events and industry forums. - Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives for product launches and pricing strategies. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage professional client portfolio, maintaining regular contact and ensuring service excellence. - Design and execute prospecting activities (cold calls, networking, trade shows) to attract new accounts. - Develop and monitor sales plans, including pipeline forecasting and quarterly targets. - Perform pricing studies with finance to support strategic pricing decisions. - Analyze sales KPIs through dashboards, generate monthly/quarterly reports for senior management. - Lead action plans to close gaps between actual and target performance. - Collaborate with production to align industrial plans with sales forecasts. - Resolve client disputes in partnership with the sales administration team. - Contribute to the definition of product ranges with marketing and production. - Represent the company externally at events, fairs, and client meetings. **Required Skills** - Proven sales leadership with at least 5 years in B2B commercial roles, preferably in the food or confectionery sector. - Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities. - Proficiency in sales analytics, KPI monitoring, and dashboard creation. - Experience managing large‑account portfolios and multi‑channel distribution. - Ability to develop and execute prospecting strategies and sales plans. - Cross‑functional collaboration skills, coordinating with production, marketing, and finance. - Fluency in French (native level); English is a plus. - Detail‑oriented, organized, and results‑driven with strong problem‑solving capabilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (Bac+2) or Master’s (Bac+5) in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in a similar role; experience in a “métier de bouche” (bakery, pastry, confectionery) with large accounts is highly desirable. - Professional sales or commercial management certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
