Job Description
**Job title:** Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) III **Role Summary:** Senior ISSO responsible for ensuring compliance with Treasury, DHS, and NIST cybersecurity frameworks, implementing and sustaining security controls under the NIST Risk Management Framework, maintaining ATO status, and strengthening cybersecurity posture to meet OIG FISMA Level 4 maturity. Works independently to support system owners and collaborate across Treasury offices and external partners. **Expectations:** - Independent, solution-oriented senior-level professional. - Must be a U.S. citizen (no dual citizenship) capable of obtaining Public Trust clearance. - Demonstrated deep technical and operational expertise in federal cybersecurity. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide subject‑matter expertise on Treasury, DHS, and NIST policies and frameworks. - Support the implementation and ongoing sustainment of security controls per the NIST RMF. - Assist system owners with maintaining Authorization to Operate (ATO) status. - Measure, report, and manage cybersecurity posture to achieve OIG FISMA Metrics Level 4 (“Managed and Measurable”). - Enhance collaboration and information sharing across Treasury offices and external partners to reduce risk and increase resilience. **Required Skills:** - In‑depth knowledge of the seven RMF steps and FedRAMP system package components (SSP, CIS/CRM). - Experience developing and testing security control implementation statements. - Familiarity with AI‑based systems and their security implications. - Strong analytical, communication, and project‑management skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of 8570 IAT II certification. - U.S. citizenship (no dual citizenship). - Eligible for Public Trust clearance.
