**Job Title:** Cyber Security Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and maintain secure IT and OT environments for next‑generation energy technology. Lead cybersecurity architecture, vulnerability management, and incident response while ensuring compliance with NIST, NRC, DOE, ISO 27001, and ISO/IEC 27002 standards. Collaborate with engineering, controls, and regulatory teams to secure industrial control systems, reactor monitoring, and automation equipment.

Deliver robust security solutions, protect critical infrastructure, and maintain continuous compliance. Provide expertise in both technical and strategic areas of cyber defense, including risk assessment, architecture design, and incident handling.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and implement secure architectures for enterprise, OT, and control systems.
- Develop and maintain security frameworks aligned with NIST 800‑53, NIST CSF, NRC, and DOE.
- Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk mitigation for IT and OT assets.
- Secure instrumentation & controls (I&C), reactor monitoring, and industrial automation equipment.
- Establish and enforce access controls, identity management, and network segmentation.
- Implement secure software development practices and support DevSecOps workflows.
- Lead incident response, forensic investigations, and recovery planning.
- Document policies, network diagrams, and compliance reports for internal audit and regulatory review.
- Stay current on emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to critical infrastructure.
- Support audits and certification processes in partnership with compliance and regulatory teams.
**Required Skills:**
- Expertise in cybersecurity engineering for industrial control systems (ICS, SCADA, OT).
- Proficiency with security tools: Splunk, Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit, CrowdStrike, VPN, firewall configuration, endpoint security.
- Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, ISO/IEC 27002, and NRC cybersecurity requirements.
- Experience with network design, segmentation, and VPNs for sensitive environments.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms.
- Analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation capabilities.
- Excellent collaboration skills in cross‑disciplinary, high‑stakes environments.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering or network/system security experience (energy, defense, or critical infrastructure sectors preferred).
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, GICSP, CompTIA Security+.
