Job Description
**Job Title** Valve Development Mechanical Intern **Role Summary** Support the assembly, testing, and early‑stage industrialization of gas and propellant valves for a reusable orbital vehicle. Work closely with design engineers and Assembly‑Integration‑Test (AIT) teams to execute bench tests, gather data, and help define production line processes. **Expectations** - Hands‑on participation in prototype valve assembly and test‑bench commissioning. - Execution of functional and performance tests with accurate data recording and reporting. - Contribution to layout design, station definition, and takt‑time planning for future production. - Strict adherence to English‑language procedures and safety protocols. **Key Responsibilities** - Assemble prototype valves and install mechanical, fluidic, and electrical connections on test benches. - Wire sensors/actuators and perform functional checks with AIT engineers. - Conduct helium leak, PID regulation, dynamic performance, endurance, proof/burst pressure, and flow‑characteristic tests. - Ensure traceability of test data, generate test reports, and maintain test documentation. - Assist in defining the valve production line: station layout, equipment selection, and takt‑time calculation. **Required Skills** - Basic mechanical assembly, fluidic hookup, and electrical wiring competence. - Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical procedures in English. - Detail‑oriented, rigorous, autonomous, and strong team‑player. - Familiarity with propulsion or rocket‑related projects is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications** - Currently enrolled in a Master of Science program (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Instrumentation, or a related field. - No specific certifications required; hands‑on experience in relevant projects is advantageous.
