**Job Title**
Senior Java Developer
**Role Summary**
Senior Full‑Stack Java developer who translates business needs into robust, scalable applications, provides technical leadership, and mentors junior team members within an Agile digital competency center.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality, maintainable Java solutions on schedule.
- Act as a technical reference, coaching and reviewing work of junior developers.
- Influence architectural, performance, security, and best‑practice decisions.
- Communicate clearly in French, Dutch and English with business and IT stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Agile processes and delivery pipelines.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze business requirements and define clear, feasible technical solutions.
- Design, develop, document, and maintain full‑stack Java applications (Spring, REST APIs, React, HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
- Lead code reviews, provide mentorship, and support skill development of junior developers.
- Participate in architectural discussions, evaluate micro‑service and integration patterns, and propose enhancements.
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, testers, and product owners to ensure solution quality, stability, and performance.
- Set up and support test environments; work closely with QA teams.
- Apply Agile/Scrum practices, maintain backlog items in Jira, and use CI/CD pipelines (Git, automated builds, deployments).
**Required Skills**
- Strong experience in Java Full‑Stack development (Java, Spring, REST, React, HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
- Deep understanding of IT architectures (microservices, APIs, integration).
- Proven ability to design and justify architectural choices.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient with Agile/Scrum, Git, CI/CD tools, and Jira.
- Fluency in French, Dutch, and English.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Java SE, Spring Professional, Scrum Master) are a plus but not mandatory.
