Job Description
**Job Title:** Quality Assurance Intern **Role Summary:** Support end‑to‑end QA for a leading energy technology firm. Engage in manual and automated testing of web and API services, develop test plans and scripts, execute SQL‑based database queries, and document defects. Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure high‑quality releases within a dynamic, sprint‑driven environment. **Expectations:** * 11‑week paid internship (June–August 2026). * Hybrid work: remote + 3 days onsite (Tue/Wed/Thu). * Demonstrated ability to write and run automated tests, manage test data, and track defects. * Strong communication and documentation skills. * Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Execute manual and automated QA across front‑end, back‑end, and web‑service layers. 2. Design, maintain, and update test plans, scripts, and test data sets using Selenium or Playwright. 3. Develop and run automated test suites for C#, Python, or JavaScript code. 4. Perform SQL queries for database and functional regression testing. 5. Log, track, and verify bug fixes in collaboration with the development team. 6. Communicate test progress, blockers, and results during daily stand‑ups and sprint reviews. 7. Research and recommend automation enhancements, adhering to industry best practices. 8. Validate test setups before communicating issues to developers. **Required Skills:** - Front‑end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP. - Programming for testing: C#, Python, JavaScript (automation). - Test frameworks: Selenium, Playwright. - SQL proficiency for data manipulation and reporting. - REST or SOAP web‑service testing experience. - Familiarity with DevOps tools and continuous integration pipelines. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled as a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, CIS, or equivalent. - OR graduate student pursuing an MS in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or CIS. - No specific certifications required, though knowledge of QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus. ---
