Job Description
Job Title: Certified Resident Services Attendant Role Summary: Supports seniors' independence and quality of life by delivering personalized care, promoting safety, and adhering to care plans under the supervision of the Health & Wellness Manager. Expectations: Temporary full-time position (7am–3pm), requiring certified healthcare support with experience in senior care. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver care based on individual care plans, respecting residents’ choices and fostering independence. - Monitor and document residents’ physical and emotional health, including vital signs and care outcomes. - Assist with activities of daily living, ensuring comfort, safety, and hygiene. - Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve care plans and report changes in residents’ conditions. - Maintain residents’ living spaces and personal items in a clean, safe, and organized manner. - Administer nursing care and follow infection control protocols, including outbreak management. - Provide emotional and social support to residents while upholding their rights and privacy. - Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to coordinate care and resolve issues. - Complete mandatory training, comply with occupational health, safety, and privacy regulations. - Perform housekeeping and supply management tasks as needed. Required Skills: - Strong communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills. - Teamwork and collaboration in a resident-focused environment. - Problem-solving and initiative in addressing care needs. - Attention to detail in documentation and compliance. - Dependability and adaptability in dynamic healthcare settings. Required Education & Certifications: - Grade 12 or equivalent education. - Certificate in Health Care Aide/PSW program; completion of job-specific care training. - Valid certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR. - Compliance with Privacy Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS/GHS). - Previous experience in senior care preferred.
