**Job title:**
Data Analyst Internship
**Role Summary:**
An entry‑level role that blends instructional insight with technical data analysis. Trainees will partner with educators and developers to validate models, build data pipelines, and translate analytics into actionable educational modules.
**Expactations:**
- Learn and apply data science techniques within an educational technology context.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with educators, product teams, and AI specialists.
- Translate complex, messy datasets into clear insights that inform curriculum and product decisions.
- Support AI workflows, chatbot projects, and marketing analytics, including SEO and web performance analysis.
- Produce dashboards, reports, and documentation for non‑technical stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, build, and maintain simple data pipelines and analysis scripts in Python (Pandas, NumPy).
- Conduct data mining, cleaning, and integration from multiple sources (web trackers, internal databases, marketing platforms).
- Analyze and visualize data using Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts) and optionally create VBA macros.
- Build and refine AI/ML models for student outcome prediction and chatbot functionality.
- Perform SEO keyword research, track search performance, and report on growth opportunities.
- Analyze website analytics (traffic, engagement, conversions) and create summary dashboards (Looker Studio, Google Data Studio).
- Assist in marketing campaign analysis, content performance, and overall business operations.
- Document processes, test hypotheses, and iterate on data‑driven workflows.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in at least one of: SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), or advanced Excel.
- Strong quantitative reasoning, mathematical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience building simple data pipelines or analysis scripts in Python.
- Advanced Excel capabilities: formulas, tables, conditional formatting, pivot tables, charting, Solver, and data tables.
- Familiarity with AI tools and basic machine‑learning concepts.
- Ability to work in a remote/hybrid team environment (Slack, Zoom, project boards).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Pursuing or completed coursework in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field.
