**Job Title:** Customer Service Agent (Ocean Import/Export) **Role Summary:** Deliver high‑quality customer support for ocean freight import/export operations, coordinating with carriers, managing documentation, invoicing, and issue resolution to maintain client satisfaction. **Expectations:** - 1–2 years of experience in ocean import/export logistics. - Proactive, reliable, tech‑savvy, accountable. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English; French language skills are an asset. - Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Respond to customer and carrier inquiries via phone and email. - Coordinate freight forwarding needs, ensuring timely resolution of issues. - Prepare, verify, and dispatch export documents; submit bill‑of‑lading instructions to carriers. - Issue and approve customer and carrier invoices. - Provide proactive updates to clients regarding shipment status. - Negotiate rates and offer strategic logistics solutions. - Resolve shipment delays or damages. - Maintain accurate customer information in the database. **Required Skills:** - Knowledge of ocean freight processes and documentation. - Proficiency with CRM and logistics software. - Strong communication, negotiation, and customer‑service skills. - Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High‑school diploma or equivalent. - Relevant logistics or freight forwarding certification preferred (e.g., BLS, CPC, or equivalent).
