Job Description
Job Title: Application Engineer – Industrial Role Summary: Serve as a technical specialist who designs, implements, and supports color‑management solutions for industrial clients. Deliver product training, troubleshooting support, and pre‑sales technical assistance, while collaborating with product development teams to refine and test new offerings. Expectations: - Operate independently as a remote engineer based in Northern France. - Demonstrate expertise in color science and industrial applications (graphic arts, paints, plastics, textiles). - Master modern IT infrastructures: networking, databases, and cloud services. - Communicate fluently in French and English; Spanish language skills are a plus. Key Responsibilities: - Create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex industrial color systems. - Conduct live or on‑site training for customers, sales teams, and dealers on X‑Rite instruments and software. - Provide multi‑channel technical support (phone, email, remote) to resolve product and workflow issues. - Offer internal product support, including training and pre‑sales technical assistance to internal stakeholders. - Capture market needs, workflow requirements, and product feedback to inform development. - Test, evaluate, and assist in the rollout of new product developments and enhancements. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of color science and its industrial applications. - Proficiency in IT networking, database architecture, and cloud computing. - Excellent verbal and written communication in French and English; Spanish an asset. - Ability to translate technical specifications into clear, actionable documentation. - Collaborative mindset for cross‑functional product development and customer engagement.
