Job Description

**Job Title** Senior Software Engineer – Frontend (PHP) **Role Summary** Design, develop, and maintain user‑focused front‑end components for customer portals and account/device management systems within a PHP‑centric platform. Collaborate with back‑end teams via APIs, contribute to deployment scripts, and serve as a technical mentor for peers. **Expectations** - Hybrid work model: 3 days on‑site per week (UK, Watford area). - Full legal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship). - Participate in a video interview followed by an in‑person interview. **Key Responsibilities** - Build and enhance front‑end UI for new customer portals and management consoles. - Integrate front‑end code with back‑end services through RESTful APIs. - Write, maintain, and troubleshoot deployment and support scripts (Python). - Ensure code quality, readability, and adherence to best practices. - Provide technical guidance and answer questions from team members. **Required Skills** - Strong, hands‑on experience with front‑end development in PHP (mandatory). - Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation. - Experience with PostgreSQL database interactions. - Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. - Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and functional code. - Professional maturity to assess ideas critically and collaborate effectively. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, **or** equivalent professional experience. - Relevant certifications (e.g., PHP Zend Certification, Python Institute) are advantageous but not required.
