Job Description
Job Title: Senior Client Development and Engagement Manager Role Summary: Lead strategic business development initiatives within the Transactions practice, crafting pitches, generating intelligence, managing promotional assets, coordinating client events, and driving process efficiencies to secure new business and strengthen key relationships. Expactations: Operate at a Senior BD/Client Development Manager level with 5+ years in a law firm or Big 4 Transactions environment; collaborate closely with Partners; maintain Monday‑Thursday on‑site presence. Key Responsibilities: - Design and execute BD plans with practice and industry groups. - Co‑author best‑in‑class pitches and RFP responses to win new business. - Produce competitive intelligence reports on clients, markets, and trends. - Create, update, and distribute practice descriptions, marketing brochures, and online content. - Plan and manage client events, including agendas, panels, speaker coordination, and logistics. - Submit and manage entries for legal and business directories and surveys. - Foster priority client relationships and lead BD initiatives targeting key accounts. - Partner with PR on speaking engagements, networking, and media outreach. - Advocate for and implement BD technology, data analytics, and tools. - Identify and implement process improvements across BD activities. Required Skills: - Proven business development experience in legal or Big 4 environments. - Strong writing, pitch, and RFP development skills. - Market research and competitive analysis expertise. - Project management, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement. - Proficiency with CRM, BD analytics, and marketing platforms. - Collaborative mindset with partners and practice teams. - Analytical, process‑improvement oriented. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or related field. - Relevant professional designation preferred (e.g., Law degree, CPA). - Demonstrated Transactions practice experience.
