**Job Title:** Front-End Lead Trainee **Role Summary:** Oversee front-end operations, ensuring efficient guest checkout processes, accurate sales capture, and compliance with company standards. Act as a primary support to the Front-End Leader, maintaining team performance and operational security. **Expectations:** Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience; annual certification required. Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Age minimum of 21 and physical capability to lift 50 lbs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain self-checkout accuracy and guest service quality. - Direct checkout traffic, manage additional lanes, and assist cashiers as needed. - Create and oversee daily schedules, breaks/lunch rotations, and cash control protocols. - Support Front-End Leader in managing ancillary operations (gift cards, candy, etc.). - Monitor compliance with AML, scale/PIN pad checks, WIC, and other assigned protocols. - Order supplies cost-effectively while maintaining inventory. - Train team members on best practices, Service Culture, and loss prevention. - Support special projects and frontline leadership initiatives. **Required Skills:** - Leadership and team coordination in retail operations. - Proficiency in compliance management (e.g., AML, WIC). - Cash handling, schedule optimization, and problem-solving. - Strong customer service and communication abilities. - Training and coaching of frontline staff. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent. - Annual front-end leadership certification.
