Job Description

Job title: Windows System Engineer Role Summary: Provide 24/7 shift‑based support for enterprise Windows Servers (2008–2019) across on‑prem, Azure Cloud, and VMware environments. Deliver first‑line troubleshooting for Windows issues, applications, backups, Exchange, and Office 365, while managing incidents through Remedy. Expactations: - Work scheduled on a days/nights rota with defined rest periods and shift allowance. - Maintain availability for incident response at any hour. - Meet SLA targets for ticket resolution and system uptime. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and support Windows Server infrastructure (2008–2019). - Troubleshoot application, backup, Exchange, and Office 365 issues. - Use Remedy to log, track, and close incidents. - Apply Azure and VMware tools for virtualized workloads and cloud services. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve complex problems. Required Skills: - Hands‑on IT support experience (Windows platforms). - Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration (2008–2019). - Experience with Exchange, Office 365, backup solutions, and application support. - Familiarity with Azure Cloud and VMware virtualization. - Excellent customer‑service communication skills. - Ability to work independently during night and weekend shifts. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum of high school diploma; additional IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, CompTIA A+/Network+, Azure Fundamentals, VMware vSphere Essentials) preferred. - Eligibility for Security Clearance.
