Job Description: **Job Title**: Engineering Internship **Role Summary**: Participate in a 10‑week paid internship to develop an open‑source front‑end for a teaching electronic medical record (EMR) platform. Collaborate with the product and engineering teams, receiving mentorship from the CTO. **Expectations**: - 10‑week program, 10 hours per week at $30/hour (1099 contractor). - Remote work, preference for candidates located in Boston. - Deliver functional UI components and integrations for the EMR front‑end. **Key Responsibilities**: - Build and maintain React components using TypeScript. - Collaborate with backend developers on Ruby on Rails API integration. - Contribute to responsive UI design and usability best practices. - Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand‑ups. - Apply industry‑standard version control practices (Git). **Required Skills**: - Proficiency in React and TypeScript. - Experience with Ruby on Rails (or comparable server‑side framework). - Understanding of RESTful API consumption. - Familiarity with modern CSS/SCSS and responsive design. - Version control using Git and GitHub/GitLab. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Recent bootcamp graduate or equivalent practical training in web development; no formal degree required. - Demonstrated portfolio or code samples that showcase React, TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails projects.
