Job Description

**Job Title:** AI / Machine Learning Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the end‑to‑end design, implementation, and deployment of production‑grade AI solutions for a patient‑centric health platform, focusing on large language models (LLMs) and multi‑modal data pipelines. Drive innovation in rare disease research and clinical decision support while ensuring compliance, scalability, and high model performance. **Expectations:** - Own and deliver production ML systems from data ingestion to monitoring. - Collaborate with backend, data, and clinical teams to integrate models into a compliant, high‑performance infrastructure. - Maintain rigorous code quality, version control, and documentation standards. - Continuously evaluate state‑of‑the‑art techniques and advocate their practical application. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and optimize LLM‑based solutions (Fine‑tuning, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation). - Build robust ETL and validation pipelines for structured, unstructured, and imaging data. - Deploy and monitor models using MLOps tools, ensuring data drift detection and system health checks. - Work with message queues, data streams, and vector databases to support real‑time inference. - Partner with clinical experts to validate outcomes and maintain medical accuracy. - Lead research initiatives to prototype and validate novel AI/ML methods. **Required Skills (Must‑Have):** - 5+ years experience in ML engineering for production systems. - Proficient in Python and AI/LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI). - Proven deployment of ML/LLM solutions in production. - Deep understanding of deep learning, NLP, and statistical modeling. - Experience with ML ops practices and large‑scale datasets. - Strong software engineering practices and coding standards. **Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):** - Hands‑on LLM integration and optimization in production. - Expertise with LangChain, LlamaIndex, prompt engineering, and RAG. - Familiarity with vector databases and similarity search for AI. - Experience in message queuing, data streaming, and analytics technologies. - Architectural and high‑quality coding track record. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
