Job Description

**Job Title** Cyber Security and IT Manager **Role Summary** Lead the cyber security and IT strategy for a high‑profile international energy infrastructure project. Develop, implement, and maintain a robust ISO/IEC 27001‑compliant ISMS, ensure regulatory compliance (UK/Germany NIS/NIS2, IT‑SiKat), manage outsourced services, drive incident response and business continuity, and advise senior leadership while promoting cyber awareness across the organization. **Expectations** - Deliver a comprehensive cyber security strategy aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. - Build and continuously improve the ISMS to achieve and maintain ISO/IEC 27001 certification. - Oversee risk management, incident response, and business continuity plans. - Manage contracts and SLAs for outsourced IT and security services. - Provide expert advice to the COO and senior leadership, coordinate with regulators, and support inspection readiness. - Lead internal cyber awareness training programs. - Travel to UK and German sites as required; available for on‑call duties after operations. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and implement the organization’s cyber security strategy. - Build and maintain an ISO/IEC 27001‑compliant ISMS. - Ensure compliance with UK and German regulations (NIS/NIS2, IT‑SiKat). - Lead cyber risk management, incident response, and business continuity planning. - Oversee outsourced IT and cyber security services, including contract and SLA management. - Advise senior leadership on cyber and IT matters; report directly to the COO. - Coordinate with regulators, prepare for inspections, and maintain reporting standards. - Promote cyber awareness; deliver training across the organization. **Required Skills** - Deep knowledge of cyber security frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, NIS/NIS2) and governance, risk, and compliance. - Proven experience implementing ISMS and managing outsourced IT/security services. - Familiarity with UK and German regulatory requirements (NIS/NIS2, IT‑SiKat). - Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. - Experience in the energy or utilities sector is advantageous. - Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Professional certifications such as ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent. - ITIL or similar IT service management certification is desirable.
