Job Description
Job title IT Manager Role Summary Lead and maintain BIS Safety Software’s internal technology environment, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient infrastructure, networks, and cloud services. Provide hands‑on technical leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight while driving security initiatives and continuous improvement. Expectations - Execute IT infrastructure and security projects from planning to implementation. - Manage day‑to‑day operations of servers, LAN/WAN, cloud (AWS), firewalls, and backup systems. - Resolve complex technical tickets, providing escalation support and rapid issue resolution. - Maintain thorough documentation, change management, and audit readiness. - Guide and develop a small IT team, fostering collaboration and professional growth. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain on‑premise and cloud infrastructure. - Monitor performance, uptime, and security of servers, network devices, and endpoint systems. - Apply patches, updates, and upgrades with minimal service disruption. - Document system configurations, procedures, and SOPs. - Support SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other security frameworks. - Mentor 1‑2 IT staff and promote knowledge sharing. - Collaborate with other departments to align IT initiatives with business needs. Required Skills - 5‑8 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, security, and system administration. - Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Active Directory. - Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, routers, switches, firewalls, and backup solutions. - Experience with IT management tools (e.g., N‑Central, Fortinet, Sentinel One or equivalents). - Strong documentation, audit, and change‑management capabilities. - Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Self‑motivated, proactive, detail‑oriented, and collaborative mindset.
