Job Description
Job Title: Systems Engineer – Combat Systems Integration – SC Cleared Role Summary: Execute end‑to‑end integration of advanced combat systems onto naval platforms, ensuring interoperability, compliance with defense standards, and operational readiness. Conduct system validation, performance tuning, and support transition to operational units while maintaining stringent security protocols. Expactations: • Hold a current SC security clearance. • Demonstrated experience with naval or military combat system integration for a minimum of 3–5 years. • Proven track record of delivering complex system integration projects on schedule and within budget. • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external contractors. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead integration planning, architecture design, and requirements translation for combat systems on shipboard platforms. 2. Coordinate hardware, firmware, and software interfaces; test and validate system performance under simulated and live conditions. 3. Resolve interface issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to meet system specifications. 4. Author integration documentation, test plans, user manuals, and compliance reports. 5. Liaise with suppliers, naval dockyards, and command authorities to ensure seamless transfer and commissioning. 6. Maintain rigorous adherence to security policies, safeguarding classified components and data. Required Skills: - Systems integration, interface engineering, and test methodology. - Knowledge of naval platform architecture, communication protocols (e.g., MIL-STD‑1553, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP). - Proficiency in CAD, simulation tools, and test automation platforms. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication; capability to produce technical documentation. - Team leadership and project management aptitude.
