Job Description
Job title: Business Systems Analyst Role Summary: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into functional solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and Lean principles. Expectations: - Deliver clear, approved requirements and design solutions that meet business objectives. - Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing priorities. - Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct requirement discovery through interviews, workshops, and research. • Analyze, document, and map business processes using use cases, user stories, and flow diagrams. • Collaborate with technical architects to design system architectures, data models, and functional specifications. • Serve as the main point of contact, clarifying scope and expectations between stakeholders and developers. • Develop test plans, create test cases, and validate solutions against requirements. • Oversee change management activities, assessing impact, updating documentation, and communicating changes. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, capturing lessons learned and best practices. Required Skills: - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. - Interpersonal and negotiation skills to build relationships and manage stakeholder expectations. - Project management skills: time management, prioritization, and ability to balance multiple initiatives. - Technical proficiency in business process modeling, requirements elicitation, use case/user story creation, diagramming tools, and test management. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Professional certifications are a plus: CBAP, PMI‑PBA, Business Analysis Certificate, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or similar.
