Job title: ServiceNow Developer
Role Summary:
Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultant/System Administrator responsible for operation, maintenance, and enhancement of a FedRAMP‑certified ServiceNow platform for a U.S. federal agency. The role supports full agile/ITIL lifecycles, including release planning, development, testing, deployment, and post‑production hyper‑care across ITSM, ITAM, WSD, FSM, ITOM, IRM, HRSD, VRM, Discovery, Performance Analytics, Nuvolo, and custom applications.
Expectations:
- Deliver high‑quality configuration, customization, and development within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Consistently meet client expectations and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen, technical competence, and effective stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Agile sprint planning, backlog grooming, user story creation, and solution roadmap development.
- Design, configure, and customize web applications and custom ServiceNow modules.
- Develop, test (unit, SIT, PT, UAT), and deploy scripts, APIs (REST/SOAP), and integrations (LDAP, data integration tools).
- Manage release cycles, including change, patch, and platform upgrade activities.
- Create Knowledge Base Articles, documentation, demos, and provide end‑user training.
- Resolve bugs, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement enhancements.
- Coordinate production deployments, post‑production hyper‑care, and periodic sub‑production refreshes.
- Collaborate with PMs, Lead TC, BPCs, SMEs, and other stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives.
Required Skills:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- 3–5 years of ServiceNow technical development and O&M experience across multiple application suites (minimum three).
- 3–5 years of JavaScript programming; proficiency in HTML, CSS, jQuery, SQL, and at least one scripting language (Python/Perl).
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP, and automated test script creation.
- Knowledge of ITIL v3/ITIL Foundation and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ServiceNow reporting tools.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT discipline.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- (Preferred) Master’s degree, Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), ITIL v3 Foundation, and additional certifications in relevant ServiceNow modules.
