Job Title: Salesforce DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Architect, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce applications, ensuring automated, secure, and compliant deployments across sandbox, UAT, and production environments.
Expectations: 1) 5+ years in Salesforce DevOps or equivalent; 2) Bachelor’s degree (or 6‑10 yrs of experience) with ability to lead moderate projects; 3) Strong knowledge of Salesforce metadata, deployment, and financial compliance (SOX, GDPR).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or Copado.
- Manage Git source control, branching strategies, and merge workflows.
- Automate and orchestrate deployments, quality gates, testing, and rollback plans.
- Monitor release processes, optimize throughput, and ensure auditability.
- Enforce security, data governance, and industry compliance across environments.
- Troubleshoot deployment failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and document fixes.
- Collaborate with developers, admins, and architects to streamline delivery and provide knowledge transfer.
- Implement automated monitoring, unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (story refinement, sprint planning) and deliver working software.
Required Skills:
- Salesforce platform expertise (metadata, Apex, Lightning Components).
- CI/CD tools: GitLab, Jenkins, and/or Copado.
- Git version control best practices.
- Automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest for Lightning, Apex test classes).
- Knowledge of financial industry security standards (SOX, GDPR, etc.).
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and project‑management skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent 6‑10 yrs of experience.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Developer, or Salesforce Release Management).
